About the instructor:

Kayla Feder Sensei is one of the top leading women in Aikido and a vibrant inspiration to many. She has a wide and deep background of experience in the arts of Aikido, Yoga and meditation, and teaches adults and children fulltime in her Dojo in California (Aikido of Berkeley, www.aikidoofberkeley.com).
She has taught seminars to students throughout the US, Europe and Israel and also supports Aiki Extensions with seminars and other activities. Aiki Extensions is an international initiative whose intention is extend the Way of Aiki across all borders.
Starting with the practice of Aikido at the age of 9, she has trained with many top teachers including: Saito Sensei, Saotome Sensei, Doran Sensei, Nadeau Sensei, Yamada Sensei, Doshu and other teachers who teach at the Hombu Dojo in Tokyo. She therefore has developed a unique approach to training reflective of the many influences she has been exposed to. Her speciality is taking basics (kihon) and teaching the transitions to the more flowing advanced forms (ki no nagare).
